SIM CPU/Memory Thresholds

Hi,

If I set CPU & Memory Thresholds on the SMH for a particular Proliant how often I will receive an alert in HP SIM informing me that the threshold has been passed?

For example if the CPU threshold is passed 5 times within a 2 hour period for say 2 seconds each time will 5 CPU Threshold events appear in SIM?

If it possible for it to be configured that if the threshold is passed for a certain duration or on a number of occasions that an alert is generated?

If anyone can shed some light on this or share their own experience in configuring this it would be appreciated.

Hi John Lemihan,

You will get alert each and everytime when the threshold is passed. You cannot restrict the number of events send by HPSIM for a particular threshold setting.
