SIM dropping SMH as a mangement protocol

Hi all

Strage problem. sometimes SIM is dropping the SMH as a management protcol.

After rte-discovery it's there, but will go again after a few weeks. Puzzled? me to. can anyone help?

Using HP SIM 5.3 with hotfix 2,3,4,5,6,7,8

we have the same problem here, no changes were made in between.

SIM version 5.3 SP1 updates 3-8

Anybody any suggestion?

Try and determine when it disappears. At a guess there's a weekly Device Identification job running. I've seen this run into conflicts with other jobs and cause similar issues. try disabling this task and see if the issues go away.
It could possibly be conflicting with a bi-weekly task.
