I doubt if the database is corrupted. I had just installed SIM about two weeks ago.

What would indicate corrupted database?

You have log file on you server: hpSIM.log...
mxdomainmgr.0.log
mx.log
history.-1.log

See if you see any error in these files

Ahhh...did we check if you SNMP service is set a disable?

Is it running SNMP SERVICE, try just a restart to see what happen?

Verify if all setting are correct in you SNMP service?

1 All you re server SNMP setting are set for TRAPS>Communite name(correc name),TRAPS>Communite name>traps destination> 1-server Insight & 2-127.0.0.1

#2 All you re server snmp setting are set for SECURITE> Accepted community name>Communite name(correc name),All you re server snmp setting are set for SECURITE> Accepted community name>Communite name> Accepted packet from these host>1-server Insight & 2-127.0.0.1.

I would like to bump this. I am having the exact same issue,
Everything was working friday - changed some ntp settings today and rebooted now the SIM CMS responds with IE cannot display the webpage (tried firefox also). However the system management homepage for the same server opens up fine. the database is oracle - i can connect to it fine with sql+.
