Smart Update manager and Linux

hi

i have been using smart update manager to deploy my firmware to remote windows servers with no problem

we have now started to use Linux servers, but when i run the SUM gui and add credentials i get a failed access error.

we have disabled root acccess to all our servers via SSH, so we use another user that i know i can log on with but it still failes

as i am not that good at linux yet can some one give me a clue
