Is it possible to collect information on whether a Smart Array (P400) has a cache battery attached from SIM? or is this information not collected in the SIM database?

Solution
No, not collected in the HP SIM database for reporting. ACU can report on whether it's there or not, so you could use a Custom Tool in HP SIM to call ACUCLI.EXE across multiple servers. With a little scripting you could filter out what you don't want and end up with the report you want.
