SNMP Forwarding
I have SIM configured to receive traps. This is working fine. However my events are configured to forward the SNMP traps to an Openview server.
When the openview server recieves the trap it shows as though it has come from the SIM instead of the originating server.
Is there a way to reconfigure it so the trap is shown from originating server rather than SIM server.
Cheers

Re: SNMP Forwarding
Not that I know of, but you can send Traps to two destinations. Not ideal though.
You may want to search the forum a bit as I believe this may have been asked before.

Re: SNMP Forwarding
If HP SIM were to send an SNMP trap and make it look like it originated somewhere else, that would in effect be 'spoofing,' a big no-no when it comes to security.
