SNMP TRAP requirements
Are there any requirements for what SNMP traps SIM will listen for?
I've enabled listen for unregisterd traps and have tried sending traps from other devices and SIM seems to ignore them.
Any ideas?

Re: SNMP TRAP requirements
Peter,
A couple of things to check:
On the managed servers, verify under the SNMP Properties > Traps tab that the community string matches the string SIM uses to manage the server and that the SIM server is listed as a Trap recipient.
And...the SNMP Trap service uses port 162 for sending traps. I would verify that there are no routers\firewalls that are blocking this port.
SIM has mibs compiled in the database that typically match what the agents could possibly send to the console.
I am also assuming that the target servers from which you are initiating these traps have already been discovered by SIM?
