Hi guys. Getting far too used to posting here!

Can someone explain an anomoly to me? I've installed SIM v 5 sp 2, but the help\about screen tells me that it's version 50.00.00.00. However, the package I'm installing from os SIM05SP2InstallFiles, from the self extracting HPSIM-WIN-C.05.00.00.02.exe. Can anyone explain this?

Check what is returned by the command mxversion when run in the command prompt.

I dont think SP2 upgrades an existing 5.0 install. From what I have been told, SP2 is really a fix for "installation" problems. So if you already have 5.0 installed, I dont think SP2 does anything - and this may be reflected in the version number you are seeing.

Just a guess...but not really sure.

There was a similar thread on this. If you use either VMM (2.01)or PMP (4.01) check the versions of those as they changed with SP2.
These can be downloaded and installed separately.
Otherwise I'd agree with Nelson, I don't think SP2 would have done much.
