Hi there.
I'm new to this forum, so hi everybody !!
I have a design question.
What to choose for the datastore of Insight Manager?? SQL Server or MSDE?
I know SQL server is more scalable, but I am not sure if this is the case of IM when the console is the only instance that connects to the datastore.
Is it enough to install IM with MSDE, when there are more than 1000 nodes??

Re: SQL Server or MSDE??
hi,
we had a testinstallation SIM 4.1 with msde for 200 server. the SIM-server was a DL360G3. now we start production and i choose MS-SQL, because the performance was not so good with msde. for test yes, for production no. we need the SIM for about 500 servers and about 12000 clients.
hope this helps.
best regards
christian

Re: SQL Server or MSDE??
The document was very nice!!
Since the limit for MSDE is 500 devices, i am already over the limit. So the choice is actually quite simple.
