Stability issues with HP SIM
I have been running HP SIM on a DL360G3 for quite sometime now. I started on some version of 4.x and it is currently at 5.3 SP1.
Sometime after going to ver 5.x, SIM quits responding after 1.5 - 2 weeks. Stopping and restarting the SIM service restores service. What I usually notice is that alerts stop being sent and when we go to log onto the server, we get the login page, then a blank page after login.
At first I hosted SQL and SIM on this same server so I thought this was the issue. I was able to move SQL off of this server and onto another DL360G3. The problem still persists. I keep hoping the next release will fix this problem.
Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Re: Stability issues with HP SIM
Have you also applied the Hostfixes to HPSIM?
Go to the www.hp.com/go/hpsim page and follow the downloads.
There were some issues but since the last lot of Hotfixes things have been more stable.

Re: Stability issues with HP SIM
i had a simaler issue when we tried to use the resource manager software to help with warranty issues and found it just killed the server.
we removed it and things have been ok since
there was one service that was going through the roof with memory and handle counts. can't remember the service, i did post on here last year when it was happening.
but might be worth checking.
