SUN and HP SIM.... Possible?
Short Question:
Hi, we have an SUN server with OS W2003. Is it possible to monitor this server with HP System Insight Manager? If Yes, How?

Re: SUN and HP SIM.... Possible?
Hi!
There a Whitepaper available:
http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/hpsim_managing_nonHPservers.pdf
talking about integrating all kinds of non-HP Servers into SIM.
Hope this helps !?

Re: SUN and HP SIM.... Possible?
Markus, Thanks for your answer and the Whitepaper. It was a little help. At this moment it doesnâ t work.
I have some other Questions:
Do I need Agents? When I do, where can I find the Agents?
Where can I find Sun *.mib files? How can I import the *.mib files Without having *.cfg files.

Re: SUN and HP SIM.... Possible?
We have several Windows servers on Sun hardware.
We can only monitor up/down. Sun has no .mibs for us (we asked them).
As a result, we continue to use mostly HP products for Windows servers.
You can monitor up/down by configuring snmp on the Sun box to match your HPSIM config.
