Suse Linux HPSIM agents
Environment:
HPSIM 5.0 SP2 on Windows 2000
HPSIM agents (from supportpaq 7.40) installed on Novell SUSE Enterprise 9 SP2
HPSIM can discover the SUSE server just fine but the identify process is not finding system info and the server shows up as unknown.
When I manually run the identify no errors are generated on the HPSIM console.
I assume that I have the Linux agents configured incorrectly however I can't seem to find docs to help me out.
Your assistance and patience is appreciated.

Re: Suse Linux HPSIM agents
Sounds like SNMP isn't configured on your SUSE box.
Probably you have to manually edit the file /etc/snmpd.conf
Take a look in the "HPSIM 5.0 Installation and User Guide":
http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-4498/5991-4498.pdf
Chapter 12. "Setting up Linux managed systems manually"
