System Events critical Handler - Daily Reboot
i have a task that send Mails if a system is not reachable - So we have some systems which are rebooting every night. Some at 8 pm - some at 2 pm ... etc.
Is it possible to exclude events from these machines during reboot ?
How can i manage this ?
I dont want to get messages at this time cause its a sheduled reboot.
thanks

Re: System Events critical Handler - Daily Reboot
HP SIM allows you to use and manage time filters in your tasks.
Create a task for the systems that are rebooting every night and add a time filter so that the alert is only valid outside the reboot period.
See attached example.
Hope it helps

Re: System Events critical Handler - Daily Reboot
1 for all systems - 24 h / 7 days
-> critical events -> Mail
1 for one system - reboot daily 8 PM - at 8 PM its white (time filter)
1 for one system - reboot daily 2 am - at 2 am
its white (time filter)
Now i see that i get mails that these systems are still not available at 8 / 2.
Do i have to edit the task for all systems ????
Please Help

Re: System Events critical Handler - Daily Reboot
There seemes to be a thick wall in the heads of some people about this issue....
Take a look at my portings and the vbscripts we are using to resolve this.
We putted the script encrypted in the logon share of our domain and viy group policy we let each server run this script when going down.
It sets the node in suspend.15m by default and while coming up we ran the same script to set the monitoring mode to resume.
