System Management Homepage!!!
hi,
i have 2 problem with SIM 4.1. first, can i add new users in the System management homepage except admin, operator or user.
and can i customize existing users. like change permision. i want to add a new user and give administrator permision.
i couldn't that menu in the system management homepage.is there a way for add new user?
second, i am changing CPQHMMD.ACL file but i cann't reset password.i am renaming and deleting that file and then restart SNMP and HP SIM services but it doesn't change.
i think old password still using. i have to reset old password and use with new password.
thanks,

Re: System Management Homepage!!!
The Agents only have the three accounts and as far as I know cannot be changed.
That is an Agent issue and not HPSIM.
HPSIM on the other hand can have any number of pages, see under Options / Security / Users & Authorizations. That allows you to control access to functionality and specific devices etc.
Old password where, on the Agent. If you log into the Agents System Management Homepage as Administrator you can change the password there.
Also, you would want to change the password store in the Configured Agent in the PSP so that any future installs of that PSP use the current password.
You generally only need to mess with the cpqhmmd.acl file if you do not know the password for a particular Server. Then you copy this file from a Server where you know the password to the unknown one.
