I have HP Proliant DL380 / G4 with Compaq system ROM 2004.12.02. The latest drivers + firmware +agents (7.2)+ SIM.
I have all information about Server but the fans are very noised. How i can do to make it more silent?.
P.D: Sorry for my english. I'm spanish user.

When the Server starts up it will be very noisy, then the agents start there should be a reduction in the fan noise. But, this is designed for a Server room environment, not a desktop.

according to this document

the standard noise is up to 58 db(a), so relatively hi. If your system is louder, maybe a fan is broken, but this should be shown through the agents.
