Systems Insight Manager will not launch

I have installed, and uninstalled SIM 5.0 and still can not open. I have even uninstalled the MSDE and the data and all components installed by SIM and reinstalled to get the same issue. I contacted HP tech support, case # 3214650969, and they said all configurations seemed fine but did not quite know what was wrong. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Will not launch means, I double click the SIM icon and, IE opens trying to access http:\\localhost:50000 and it just sits there without ever launching SIM.

HPSIM when it starts takes some time to get going.
With HPSIM installed try browsing to https://yourhpsimserver:50000 from your Workstation or any remote workstation. What happens then?

Same thing happens from a remote system or my workstation when I enter https://servername:50000

About how long will it take to open the first time if I have 15 servers I'm trying to monitor

Shouldn't be long at all.
Perhaps that's a typo in an earlier part of the thread, but it should be https not just http.

IE just sitting there is odd, that might indicate some kind of local proxy issue?

You can also access HPSIM by Firefox, you could try that.
