Temperature settigngs?
We've got some problems with the air conditioners in our server room, we are in the process of getting another one to cope with the amount of heat we are producing but in the meantime I would like to use SIM to alert on rising temperature. I don't want to wait until the temperature gets up in the warning level, rather I want to be able to change the alert termperature to alert at a lower level. Is this possible?

Re: Temperature settigngs?
You cannot infer ambient temperature from the internal sensors. Further, there are from 2-8 temperature sensors inside, and each one of them has an individually calibrated setting based on their proximity to the heat source.
Your best bet is to get an environmental monitorlike the Console Management Controller. Go to http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/rack-options/index.html and select "Third Party Options" and then "Rack Accessories."

Re: Temperature settigngs?
Thanks, I thought that was the answer, just wanted to double check.
