Upgrading Smart Array Controller
I have distributed updates to a w2k3 server however the array controller and the ILO rom upgrade still tell me they are the old version's. I have the option to check against inventory checked.
Can I remotely upgrade these items?

Re: Upgrading Smart Array Controller
Yes
Just download the appropriate firmware files to the Repository a re-scan.
You will be able to see it.
Send a software and firmware deployment task with the firmware files you want to upgrade.
But remember, that most firmware updates need a re-boot.

Re: Upgrading Smart Array Controller
ROM Updates are not part of the Softpaq.
From the VCA Screen, you can deploy ROM Updates.
Array Controllers, Systerm ROMS etc. will need a reboot.
The ILO or RILOE II Cards reload themselves but the Server itself does not need a reboot.
