Using SIM 5.1 with Netware 6.5
I am having trouble getting the configuration right for monitoring my Novell servers. At present, I can see the servers in SIM and get inventory information, but the SMNP traps do not appear to work correctly. I get no monitoring information back (ie: failed power supply etc)
Is anyone familar enough with Novell 6.5 and the SIM agents to give me a hand?
I've tried talking to HP and I get no where, its like the support is non-existant for this product.

Re: Using SIM 5.1 with Netware 6.5
have you installed the latest PSP for netware.
have you configured the SNMP community strings.
have you got about 10 cpq* modules loaded.
I have 2 netware 6.5 server reporting a failed power supply. (power cable removed)it does work.

Re: Using SIM 5.1 with Netware 6.5
Have you added your SIM server IP-address to \SYS\ETC\Traptarg.cfg on the NetWare server?
Should look something like this:
Protocol UDP
127.0.0.1 # send traps to the loopback address
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx # send traps to your HP SIM server
