VCA

A lot of my servers under my Insight manager are missing the Install button under the VCA. I have the installed versions listed and the support pack version but no install button. I am logged in as a domain adminstrator. Any ideas?

Make sure you have established an SNMP write string that responds to localhost.

Thanmks for your reply.

SNMP all seems to be OK, I have done a repair and rebooted without luck. Think I may have to manually install then hopefully it will be ok once all is upto date.

VCA should be configured to VCRM using a username with operator or admin privilege.

e.g.

In VCRM System:
1) Create user VCUser
2) Create group VCAdmin, add VCUser as member
3) Open SMH in VCRM, go to Settings->security->user Groups
4) Add VCAdmin group as part of SMH's administrator or operator
5) Configure all VCA to use VCUser (use replicate agent settings in HPSIM for configuring multiple systems at once)

Thank you for your replies BUT I found by re-installing the agent (cp010909.exe) the button cam back.
