vcagent two AD forests

In my company, we have two AD forests. The HPSIM server is located in the first forest. I can control all servers in the first forest with the version control agent using the repository. When I try to set up with vcagent for a server in the second forest, I cannot get it to connect repository which is located in the first forest. Is this possible? Do I need to install HPSIM on a server in the second forest in order to do this?
