Version Control Agent displaying smart components that are not installed?

Hi I have a problem with the VCA (2.1.8.780) on a Windows 2003 SP1 system.

The server is a HP DL360 G3 and I have recently installed the latest Proliant Support Pack (7.80A).

VCA displays two smart components that are identified as being out of date. As far as I can tell these components are not installed and when attempting to push the updated versions from HP SIM they do not install as the hardware is not found in the system.

The out of date components are;

HP ProLiant CSB-6 ATA-100 IDE RAID Driver for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003
Installed (reported) 4.1.730.2003
Latest 4.2.805.2005

HP ProLiant 64-Bit/133-MHz Single/Dual Channel Ultra320 SCSI HBA and SCxxXe series SCSI HBA Driver for Windows Server 2003
Installed (reported) 1.10.1.0
Latest 1.21.8.0

Does anyone know why these components are being reported by VCA as being installed?

TIA,

Dan.

It is a p[roblem with the new VCA and there is a workaround. Please see this thread.
