Re: Version Control Agent in SIM 4.2
I've created a local account on the HPSIM/VCRM Server and I use this when configuring the VCA's.
Out of interest, what happens if you access the VCRM Link from the Links tab on the Server that has the VCRM installed?
No idea why SNMP is being mentioned either, like you I wasn't aware it was involved.

Re: Version Control Agent in SIM 4.2
You can change settings there and test.
Once you're happy you can use HPSIM to deploy that change to other Servers, using the first Server as a template.
Finally you would reconfigure the Agent in the Repository so that future deployments had the correct details.

Re: Version Control Agent in SIM 4.2
Is the VCRM on the same Server as HPSIM 4.2?
If so, try creating a local account with Admin rights on the HPSIM Server, e.g. VCAAccess with a suitably cryptic password.
Use these details in the VCA Config, it should connect to the VCRM.

Re: Version Control Agent in SIM 4.2
I receive the error "The Version Control Agent encountered an error while obtaining the software and firmware inventory" when loading the "Home" and all it displays is this error -- there isn't even a left frame on the page. I know what you're talking about now -- it's just not loading because of this error.

Re: Version Control Agent in SIM 4.2
- creating a local user with admin access on the VCRM and configured the agent install to use this account and password.
- I verified the versions are the same.
- I tried logging into the sys management page on the VCRM with the local user created and that worked.
I'm still getting an error when the agent tries to log in to the VCRM saying user account or password invalid. But I did log in to the sys mgmt page on the VCRM successfully.
