Version Control Agent on SuSE Linux only shows itself

Hello,

There is a strange behavior of hp version control agents on some of our Linux servers (DL380 G4) with SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 SP3/PSP 7.20 and SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 SP1/PSP 7.30. The PSPs have been installed completely, the connection to repository manager has been configured and is valid. But when opening the vcagent website, only the agent itself is displayed (the same as in /opt/hp/vcagent/etc/sm/cache/vertbls.xml) I suppose, the vcagent has problems collecting versions of the installed hp software components?

After reinstalling/-configuring the agent and rebooting the server didn't solved the problem.

Thanks
Andreas

Try specifying a SNMP community string in snmpd.conf file and then restart snmpd service.

Hi,

problem is solved - thanks a lot!
Entry "rwcommunity 127.0.0.1" was missing in snmp configuration file /etc/snmpd.conf
