Version Control Agents non-responsive
The VCA did not respond at all.
I then tried a second and third server, which displayed the same symptoms.
I restarted the Repository manager and tried the VCA's again - with the same timeout.
I then tried to restart the VCA on the first server - but it won't stop. It has gone into the "stopping" state and has stayed there.
I can't see any relevant messages in the event viewer.
I have 2 questions:
1.What caused this - any ideas?
2. Is there a way to clear it, other than rebooting every one of the servers which have VCA's (not) running on them? (~ 250 live servers !!)

Re: Version Control Agents non-responsive
I certainly know of an issue where the agents do get into this mess with PSP 7.51. (may also be 7.50 but not 100% sure)
If you remove or add a sub-agent using the HP Management Agents GUI you get this happening, and the only way to fix the problem is to reboot the server.
I've also found that PMP stops working in this scenario.
But, I don't know of any generic changes that can cause this.

Re: Version Control Agents non-responsive
I haven't done any changes to any of the servers in the last 2 weeks.
Performance management seems fine....

Re: Version Control Agents non-responsive
This morning everything seems back to normal, with version control responding again...... No messages apparent in the event logs....
Confused....
