Version Control Deployment Problem

I am trying to get the Deploy feature in 4.2 to work. Everytime I try to deploy an update to my test server I get the following error: Unable to contact system. The Tool Tip error states: HTTP Status 500: Be sure system is fully powered on and the agent is running. The server is on and the agent is running.
