Version Control - reporting on latest version

By "mistake" someone have added a new baseline (7.10A) to the Version Control Repsitory for win 2000/2003. Since most of the servers do have version 6.40A installed this caused a lot of yellow warning signs in the SW column. I have now deleted the 7.10A baseline for win 2000/2003 and rebuilt the repository so the repository now only shows the 6.40A baseline. I've also set the "Support Pack Version" to 6.40A for the VCAs.

The warnings are still in the sw tab though and the "Latest Version" column in the VCAs still shows 7.10A. How do I get rid of these warnings and the false latest version value??

Re: Version Control - reporting on latest version

If you have not modified your 'Scheduled Tasks' it should clear within one week since the 'Software Polling Task' is setup to run once a week. You can manually run it by going to: Logs > View All Scheduled Tasks > Select "Software Version Status Polling" > Click "Run Now".

Re: Version Control - reporting on latest version

Also, the "latest version" column will *always* show the latest version which exists in your respository. If you have configured your repository to automatically download software from HP, then your "latest version" column will soon be showing 7.20.

If you don't want the "latest version" column to show anything more recent than 6.40A, then you could delete the 7.10A PSP from your repository manually and disable automatic downloads. However, then you won't know when something newer than your baseline is available.

Good luck,
