Version Control Repository issue

When navigating to Version Control Agent to a bunch of systems on our network, the error "Status cannot be calculated because a Version Control Repository Manager has not been named". I'm sure we have the correct Repository Server named as well as the user/pswrd. If I navigate to Version Control Repository from the Insight Manager console I get "Error retrieving repository. Be sure a trust relationship is established with the repository device." If I click on tusts hyperlink "Trust by Certificate" is selected, and 2 Servers show up in the list. Are the settings for the certificate trust saved on a per user basis? Any usful insight is appreciated

I have found that sometimes the certificates become corrupted. Try logging onto one of the servers in questions, deleted the certificates, reimport the certificates,. restart the VCA service and then do a spftware status poll.
