Re: VMM Open SSH issue

You don't need SSH for VMM to work, is there another reason why you want SSH?

To install the VMM Agent on the host just copy the hpvmmagent.tar file from;
C:\Program Files\HP\HP Virtualization Management Software\Agents\Linux to the VM Host Server, extract it and follow the readme, it's just a shell install script.

For SSH to work you will need to issue the mxagentconfig command from the HPSIM server.

Google mxagentconfig and you'll find the switches etc.

Re: VMM Open SSH issue

The issue I had with the VMM service was with our Trend AV stuff, it grabbed one of the VMM ports. That doesn't seem to be the same here.

You may want to look at updating VMM to at least 2.0.2.
You'd need to check if VMM 2.1 is compatible with HPSIM 5.0 SP2, you might also want to consider moving up to either HPSIM 5.0 SP5 or HPSIM 5.1.
