VPM Acquisition - Does not work

Hello everybody,

When I run the "Acquiring Vulnerability and Patch Management Pack Updates", it looks like everything is ok (Status = Completed, Exitcode = 0), but nothing is downloaded.
I used the same proxy-settings as for the "Version Ccontrol Repository" which works fine.
Can anybody help

Thanks Jo

Re: VPM Acquisition - Does not work

The message you receive is the completed event for the fact that the acquisitions have successfully started.

You should try waiting a few hours or so or a day to allow the patches to be downloaded.

Then just check your patch repository.

Re: VPM Acquisition - Does not work

Typically it's some kind of proxy issue.
I had similar issues when going out via our proxy server, but I had the luxury of being able to by-pass the Proxy Server and go out with no authentication required.

Re: VPM Acquisition - Does not work

If your VPM server does not have internet access or has proxy issues, with VPM 1.10 you can install the VPM Acquisition Utility on a separate system with open internet access for downloading patches. You can then import the patch repository into VPM.

VPM uses http and ftp to download patches from Microsoft and Red Hat.

If you are still having problems, post your c:\program files\hp\vpm\radia\integrationserver\logs\patch-acquire.log and we debug your problem.
