VPM Acquisition statistics

Hello all,

Since the 21st, the statistics for each of my daily VPM Acquisitions has been the same:

Bulletins added : 0 Bulletins updated : 88 Patches added : 0 Patches updated : 309 Errors : 103

Does anyone know the meaning or reason behind this? Is it related to the ASP.NET issues?

Thanks,
- Steve Kadish

Re: VPM Acquisition statistics

Steve,
I looked in my Repository and the latest patch I have is MS04-040 which was released in November. I only do a weekly acquisition, but I don't seem to be getting the latest patches. I posted here on that a while back but I've heard nothing.

Re: VPM Acquisition statistics

Interestingly, I went to look at my repository after seeing Rob's message, and I can't even get it open. I get a "java.lang.NullPointerException."

I guess it *is* related to the other problems I've been having!

Re: VPM Acquisition statistics

You will only get updates if there are some available. Microsoft publishes patches the 2nd Tuesday of each month, which will be the 8th of February. You can expect to see patch updates then. There also have been no new Vulnerability updates.

Re: VPM Acquisition statistics

Deborah,

That makes perfect sense, but then why would the event generated by the Acquisition say that it downloaded 88 bulletins, and updated 309 patches, EVERY NIGHT?

Thanks,
- Steve

Re: VPM Acquisition statistics

Hi all,

I never got an answer to this, but I have seen that if I only do updates every week, instead of daily, that the numbers do change.

Thanks,
