VPM error
We have problems with VPM.
When it tries to download the patches from microsoft it fails because of a page redirection or for other similar reason ( ie the page contains links to the actual fix to download.
The following is an extract of the log
Error downloading patch data for Bulletin MS-KB889101 at URL http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3-19990518/cabpool/windowsserver2003-kb889101-sp1-x86-enu_cdf6552483a5a4491baa195ca76781eeaa059091.exe error code 410

Error downloading patch data for Bulletin MS00-005 at URL http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/q249973ts.exe error code 404
Shouldn't VPM be able to download them directly ?
Wouldn't be better if it can download them from an HP site ?
Is there a way to solve the problem ?
thanks

Re: VPM error
Hi Stefano,
Other than these errors found, were you able to download some patches? You can double check on Diagnose -> Vulnerability and Patch Management -> View Patch Repository.
Btw, was the acquire settings correctly configured? Make sure the proxy was set, go to Options > Vulnerability and Patch Management > Settings. If it wasn't, start the acquire again and verify if the problem has gone.
Thanks,
Lucas

Re: VPM error
The server has direct access to internet , no proxy tough.
