VPM install error 1720

downloaded eval version of VPM and attempted install on 4.2 SIM W2K server. everything goes ok till it ends wit this error: " error 1720 there is a problem with this windows installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact support or package vendor' Custom action installWebService script error 2147024893 , line 40 colum 5" .
Thought I'd post this before attempting another download. Any help would be appreciated.

We moved the directory that we installed it from to the same directory that we wanted to install it onto, and then it ran successfully.

This work around can work for any installer, not just HP stuff.

If there is more than just the C: drive, try launching the installer from a different drive letter like the D: or E: and so on.

VPM users have already tried this with success. Again this can potentially work with other apps installers.
