VPM Patch Repository Empty
I performed a fresh installation of HPSim 4.2 sp2, on a Windows 2003 server using a local MSDE database. I installed VPM 1.1 (both from the 7.30 version of the management CD).
I must use a different workstation for patch download purposes. I installed the "VPM Acquisition Utility", and ran the 'acquire updates'.
I copied the 1.24Gb of files to the CMS server, configured the settings of the VPM (Options -> VPM -> Settings), and performed an 'Acquire Updates' on the CMS server.
When I try to 'View the Repository' (Diagnose -> VPM -> View Patch Repository), the CMS reports it is empty ("There are no patches in the repository").
I have the following clip from the acquisition utility's log:
20050518 10:44:57 Error: HTTP while downloading https://www.hp.com/pub/essentials/vpm/versions.xml error : connect failed certificate signature failure
20050518 10:44:57 Error: Network error for https://www.hp.com/pub/essentials/vpm/versions.xml attempt 1 limit 2
20050518 10:44:57 Error: HTTP while downloading https://www.hp.com/pub/essentials/vpm/versions.xml error : connect failed certificate signature failure
20050518 10:44:57 Error: Network error for https://www.hp.com/pub/essentials/vpm/versions.xml attempt 2 limit 2
I have the following report from the VPM Events:
Summary Bulletins added : 0 Bulletins updated : 0 Patches added : 0 Patches updated : 0 Errors : 0
VPM Acquisition Date 20050518T11:56:49Z
Acquisition Details Patch Source : HP_VPM

I tried to run a scan against a system that I am sure is very up-to-date, and have the following screen:
Status from Last Scan:
Critical: 0 Major: 1 Minor: 19
Scan Name: 2005-05-10_08-48_VPM_1_2652
Scan Date: 10-May-2005, 10:01:26 EDT
Scan Definitions Used: W2K3 using STAT Scanner WSI version 1.1.275.2238
but when I try to view any of the reports, the CMS says: "There is no current PVM report of this type available for this system."
Any and all help would be appreciated.
