What is mxdomainmgr.exe process?

What is the purpose of mxdomainmgr.exe? Today, I found out that our virus scan software had been blocking this process which result in pager and email account not receiving alerts for about a week.

Hi

mxdmomainmgr is one of the main processes of the HP SIM application. Other important processes are mxinventory and mxdtf.
