Windows Server 2003 R2

I have just set up 6 Windows Server 2003 R2 and none of them seem to work with my SIM 5 Sp4. I never get any of the Links to the Management page or HP Version control. I have many other servers working just fine with the exact same SNMP settings.

Is there a special step I am missing for R2?
R2 is the standard edition.

Re: Windows Server 2003 R2

Is the latest ProLiant support pack installed?

Firewalls disabled or open as necessary?

Re: Windows Server 2003 R2

Make sure the SNMP Security settings are set to either "Accept SNMP packets from any host" or "Accept SNMP packets from these hosts". The latter is the default and only "localhost" is defined. Add the FQDN of the HPSIM server to the list.
What ever it takes!

Re: Windows Server 2003 R2

Was there ever a resolution to this issue? I'm seeing the same problem with all of my R2 boxes here using the 7.51 PSP. I haven't tried 7.60 yet (or anything later, if anything later exists).

Re: Windows Server 2003 R2

This is all solved for the originator (me).
I thought the Windows Firewall was shut off, it was not and I neededit off until I could get the grroup policies adjusted.

Thanks all!
