Wrong messages from SIM?
Hi
I get wrong messages from SIM like:
Event Severity: Critical
Event received: 01-Apr-2010, 23:21:17
Event description: The current system is no longer reachable from the central management server, hardware status polling has marked this system as not responding
This message is wrong, the server is still reachable and working fine.
Any ideas, why this messages are sent?
Best Regards.

Re: Wrong messages from SIM?
Start with trying to ping the Server in question from the SIM server. if the ping fails then the message is correct and maybe there is some type of network problem between the two.

Re: Wrong messages from SIM?
You can get this if there's network congestion etc. If the server is on a slow netwwork you may want to change some of the timeout settings.
I'd say that the message is correct, that there was a connectivity issue with the server.
