Wrong Server Name in Software Update Notice

I sent a software update to a single server. The server received the software updates and ran them. However, when I received the e-mail notification it stated a different server name in the subject line, event source, and associated system. In the body of the e-mail under the Status Summary the server name is correct there. Has anyone seen this before?

Re: Wrong Server Name in Software Update Notice

Was the name the name of the server running HP SIM?

No, it was not the SIM server. It was another managed server. Alphabetically they were close together (both servers started with the letter E).

That doesn't sound right at all - we'll check it to see if we can duplicate it.

What OS are you running the CMS on and what OS are the target nodes?

Thanks for looking into it. All systems in our environment (SIM and managed servers) are Windows 2000 SP3.
