Yet Another Initial PSP MxFailedAuthentication Thread
Yes I know that there are about 100 threads on this but you know I just cannot seem to get this to work. I have been using the new HPSIM since it was released and I spend the better part of a month trying to get SSH to work. I did get SSH working by the way. I have been using Custom commands to run batch files for Alert actions for a while now. They work fine. However, I cannot get my Initial Proliant Support Pack Install to work ever. I always get “EXCEPTION CLASS: com.hp.mx.exceptions.MxFailedAuthenticationException
EXCEPTION: Authentication failed.”
Now before you suggest that I reinstall SSH or go through the PDF I will let you know that I have searched and performed every troubleshooting step I can find in this forum and I am still having trouble. I have removed and reinstalled SSH on my SIM server several times. I have run every Mx command under the sun. I did get my password and group files setup correctly because as I said I can get custom commands to run batch files so I know that works. I can do the SSH user@servername command and it logs in with my local Admin account. I should let you know that my local admin account has been renamed however the profile directory matches the name and I can login to SSH with this ID. I did run through the renamed account troubleshooting section of the PDF. I am at a complete loss here. Anyone out there having similar issue

Re: Yet Another Initial PSP MxFailedAuthentication Thread
Did you modify the Initial PSP TDEF to change to your administrator name?

Re: Yet Another Initial PSP MxFailedAuthentication Thread
Yup, I did login to SIM using my local ID and using a domain ID that also works when using my custom command batch files. Neither works. I did edit the job and changed the owner several times. No Good. Also, I never used the Run Now option. I always schedule my tasks.

Re: Yet Another Initial PSP MxFailedAuthentication Thread
After you edited the tool definition did you re-add the tool into HP SIM?
