Compaq EO1004C 8 port KVM

Hi I have a Compaq EO1004C 8 port KVM when I connect the 2 computers all that works is the video. Nether the mouse or the keyboard works. I do not get any response from the keyboard and mouse what so ever. Please advise on what do to fix the problem.
