ILO5 Connection with Powershell - The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.
Hi,
We have stored a different administrator password on the ILO for each server.
Then we added an AD group to ILO for users who are allowed to administrate the server.
Now I wanted to update all servers to the latest ILO version with Powershell.
I notice that I can't log on to the ILO with the AD accounts with the Powershell, with the onboard administrator it works without any problems.
I can access the web interface with the AD user. With Powershell I get the following message:
The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.
Has anyone seen this? Or do I have to specifically authorize the AD users? In the ILO under Administration, the AD users have the same rights as the administrator. Are there hidden rights for CLI?

Re: ILO5 Connection with Powershell - The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthori
Hello @erki72
It sounds like the issue may be related to authentication and authorization. It's possible that the AD group you added to the ILO does not have the necessary permissions to access the ILO via PowerShell.
Here are a few things you can try:
Check the credentials you're using to authenticate to the ILO. Make sure that the AD group you added has the necessary permissions to access the ILO via PowerShell.
Make sure that the PowerShell script you're running is being executed with the necessary permissions. You may need to run the script as an administrator or as a member of the appropriate security group.
Check the ILO's logs to see if there are any errors or warnings related to authentication or authorization.
Check the ILO's settings to make sure that the CLI interface is enabled and that the AD group you added has the necessary permissions to access the CLI.
If none of these solutions work, you may need to contact support team for further assistance.

Hello @erki72
Can you try using the local administrator account of iLO on one host and check if you are able to update the iLO.
Cheers..
