IP console switches
Hi
I have 2 older ip console switches a 1x1x16 and a 3x1x16. These were installed some time ago and the admin name and password have been lost. Is there a mechanism whereby i can reset to factory default (admin/blank) via serial cable.
regards

Re: IP console switches
Hello,
You can try this:
Situation/Action: Password is set and then lost. To resolve this issue, have the user complete the following steps:
1. Connect to the console serial switch.
2. Enter 5 on the main menu to restore the factory defaults, which includes resetting to the original User Name and Password (Admin/blank).
Regards,
