KVM serial access

I have 2 0x2x16 IP KVM Console Switches and 1 1x1x16 IP console switch.
I can access via the serial port the 1x1x16 swt but not the other two! I am using the same PC/cable and configuration. I have tried a variety of speeds etc but with no result.
Has anyone any answers?
