OS Migration
Hi,
We are using application server OS HP-UX B.11.11 9000/800/L3000-5x (v1)and we are planning to migrate the higher version. So can you guide which is the higher version suitable for upgrade our server OS.
If we are migraing from HP-UX B.11.11 to HP-UX vi 3 is that possible . Please let me know if you have any document.

HP-UX 11.31 does not run on this hardware.
Have a look at a rx2800 i6.

As long as you can order the system, it will come with 11.31.
Be aware you can order it with a preconfigured RAID1 or RAID5 for the OS - default is a plain disk with the OS on it.

The L3000 can only "officially" do 11.11 but you can load and run 11.23 on it. It runs at a painfully slow but it is doable. If you go to a RP3440 or RP4440, they can do 11.11, 11.23, and 11.31... they are not that expensive either and much smaller than the L3000
