shared server vs dedicated server
Hi all,
what is the different between this 2 setting?
How do I know which one is my environment.
I have db1 and db2 server share same external raw disk for the storage. But each server has it own OS and hard disk.

Re: shared server vs dedicated server
Hi Fauliah,
I am not sure if this is the correct forum for your question, in which is not very details for us to address your questions.
Now if you're referring to Oracle's Shared or Dedicated server mode, then its defined in tnsname.ora defintions.
If you're referring to how your external storage array is configured for your DB servers, it will depend very much on the Storage sub-system and managment application for it.
