SMART raid controller pitfalls.
We have a HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen 10 test server with an E208i-a smart raid controler running a raid 1 aray of 4 kingston SSDs. it has always been slow and i was recently put to fixing it.
i have so far:
checked the SSDs with CrystalDisk, sucsessfuly run the server with raid turned off. checked the active system health log and the raid settup for error messages.
i have been unable to reinstall Proxmox using the raid array as it kernal panicks mid way through install but it will install with the controler turned off.
we would just like to know if their are any well known pitfalls to these raid controlers so that we do not buy a new one for the sake of an incoreect setting.

Re: SMART raid controller pitfalls.
Hi,
Are you using SmartRAID Gen10 E208i-a Modular Controller?
Just make sure you have configured the SSD correctly.
Are the SSD compatible with this Controller Card?
Have you enabled the SSD Smart Path?
See if the controller needs a firmware update.
Thank You!
