UPS does not Recongize ERM

- Not sure where to place this question. Don't find a good location ...
Have a R3000 XR with 1 ERM. Upgraded the Firmware to 1.09, level needed to "see the ERM"
Still not recongized. and now the utility light is red...
Any suggestions appreciated..
