Research and Education Community

I've had feedback that, because of the anonymous nature of the forum, it's hard to find a community of SDN developers with similar motivations.  In particular, we have a number of universities involved in the forum that may be interested in an a more open exchange of ideas ranging from research exploration to educational opportunities.  Should we create a separate community space for these discussions?

This may be an option as educational and commercial entities tend to have different views and / or restrictions on what they can and can't discuss, in particular when it relates to IP or future offerings.
