SSSU Windows error trapping
I'm new to SSSU, and would be interested in some feedback on what you use to trap errors or re-direct the command output. I am using SSSU under Windows (alas), so I will be using a .bat file to run commands for taking/deleteing snapshots and snapclones, but want to be able to branch out of my command loop if I hit errors. How are people handling this?

Re: SSSU Windows error trapping
You can use Unix-style redirection, e.g.:
C:\> sssu.exe output.log
If you have a BC-EVA license and a relatively current VCS version, then you are able to use the Replication Storage Manager (RSM).
Don't become confused by 'replication' - it is a combined user interface for BC (= local replication inside the storage array), CA and a little bit of CV. It has a much better scripting capability than simple SSSU and allows conditional branching.
Follow the links to 'Software & drivers' and 'Technical documentation' on this page:

Re: SSSU Windows error trapping
That's great, we have Rep Mgr, but I didn't look into it because of just the confusion you mentioned. I'll take a look at it, and use the UNIX-style redirect as my backup. Thanks!
