Controller Kernal Panic, Unknown Firmware error code: 63
Looking for some clues. I have a ProLiant DL100 G2 server with an Adaptec 2410SA controller.
Came back from vacation and the server was off.
Restarted it and I get two messages:
Error: Controller Kernal stopped running. Press any Key to Continue
I do that and I get:
Fatal Error: Controller Kernal Panic unknown firmware error code: 63
Would love to resurrect this computer if possible.
But it is very critical to get some data off this NAS device as it was being used as a backup file location.
Can anyone direct me how to correct this problem? I've got the original disks if necessary. Wondering if I need to replace the controller and if they are even available for a machine we purchased in 2006.

Re: Controller Kernal Panic, Unknown Firmware error code: 63
Hello,
With the limited information it sure sounds like a bad controller to me as well. If getting the server up and running is a high priority, thats where I would start. There are other possibilities, like the system board etc, but those are likely more difficult to attempt replacement than the controller card itself.
As for parts HP sells parts at www.partsurfer.hp.com .
Or try parts direct http://h20141.www2.hp.com/hpparts/Default.aspx?mscssid=087E7539222149BC8061E625215D37F9&cc=US&lang=EN.
Not sure if yours will be there given the age of the server, but it may be worth it to check.
